Getting Started with Coding for Kids
Welcome to the Coding for Kids platform! This guide will help you get started as a teacher and set up your virtual classroom.
Creating Your Teacher Account

Sign Up
- Visit our website at codingforkids.com
- Click on "Sign Up" in the top right corner
- Enter your details (name, email, password)
- Select your account type (Teacher)
- Click "Sign Up"

Email Verification
- Check your email for a verification link
- Click the link to verify your account

Organization Setup
- Once verified, you'll be prompted to create or join an organization
- If creating a new organization (school), enter:
- Organization name
- Organization type (public school, private school, etc.)
- Location information
- If joining an existing organization, you'll need an invitation from an administrator

Complete Your Profile
- Fill in any additional required information
- Set up your account preferences
First Steps After Account Creation

Explore the Interface
- Familiarize yourself with the organization management section
- Review the classes, students, and teachers tabs

Create Your First Class
- Click on the "Classes" tab
- Select "Create Class"
- Enter a class name and select appropriate settings
- Click "Create"

Add Students to Your Class
- From your class page, click "Add Student" to add individual students
- Or use the "Import CSV" option to bulk add students
- Fill in the required information for each student

Set Up Your First Lesson
- Review the curriculum materials
- Decide which chapter to start with based on your students' experience
- Prepare your introduction to the platform
System Requirements
To use the Coding for Kids platform effectively, ensure you and your students have:
- A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
- Stable internet connection
- For optimal experience:
- Screen resolution of at least 1280x720
- Audio capability for interactive elements
